National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET MDS Counselling 2021 date has been delayed by the Medical Counselling Committee. Supreme Court has now issued a notice to Medical Counselling Committee, MCC directing them to release the date in next three weeks. This plea was filed in the Supreme Court of India due to the delay in releasing the counselling dates. However, SC heard the PIL filed by NEET MDS aspirants today, on July 1, 2021.

The PIL filed was seeking direction in releasing the dates at the earliest and not later than three weeks in any event. Supreme Court Bench, led by Justice Chandrachud, has heard the plea today filed by Dental graduates against the delay caused by the Medical Counselling Committee in the announcement of dates for NEET MDS Counselling 2021.

NEET MDS aspirants filed the plea through Advocates Charu Mathur and Tanvi Dubey. It is also to be noted that NEET MDS is the only eligibility cum entrance exam for admission to MDS Courses for the academic session 2021. Aspirants have been waiting for NEET MDS Counselling 2021 since the month of March.

This year, there is no update regarding NEET MDS Counselling 2021 schedule even after six months of the declaration of the results. Any further delay in the announcement of counselling dates will surely lead to wastage of the entire year. The petitioners have also stated that the delay in the announcement of the counselling schedule is also against the MDS Course Regulations, 2007.
