“A team led by NCB’s zonal director Sameer Wankhede carried out a search at Bharti Singh’s residence at Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri based on specific information. A small quantity of cannabis was recovered from her place,” an official said.
“Singh’s name had cropped up during the interrogation of a drug peddler,” he said.
The agency also carried out searches at two other locations in the metropolis, the official added.
Multiple television and film personalities have been under radar in connection with the drug probe that was triggered by the death of Rajput.
Raids have been carried out at the flats of TV couple Sanam Johar and Abigail Pande, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and producer Firoz Nadiadwala.
Bharti Singh is currently seen on “The Kapil Sharma Show” where she plays the character of “Lalli”. She also appears as a host on “India’s Best Dancer” along with husband Harsh.
Bharti has been a part of several reality shows on television including “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” and “Nach Baliye”.
The comedian tied the knot with Haarsh on December 3, 2017.
