Vandana Venkatesh, a 28-year-old corporate advocate, who is accused of abusing and threatening an IPS officer’s wife, said the complaint against her is false and it was in fact the latter who spat on her face during an argument.

Honey Hilori, wife of Ajay Hilori, had filed a complaint against her neighbour Vandana in Commercial Street police station. The Hiloris live in the second floor of Chandana apartment on Infantry Road, and Vandana in the ground floor.

Vandana said trouble began on June 29 when she asked Hilori’s children not to make noise while playing.

“Honey shouted at me for advising her children. The same evening, seven police officials visited my house saying I abused the children. I went to Hilori’s house to seek clarification. We had a heated argument and Honey spat on my face. I got tense as her husband had tested positive for Covid-19. As I walked back, she spat on me several times,” said Vandana who has complained to top cop Bhaskar Rao.

A police officer said: “If Vandana’s complaint reaches us, we’ll register an FIR against Honey Hilori.”
