Former CJI Ranjan Gogoi is scheduled to take oath as Rajya Sabha Nominated Member on 19.03.2020 at 11am.
In the List of business in Rajya Sabha for 19.03.2020 it is indicated that the former judge will take oath at 11 am.
The President of India had nominated Justice Ranjan Gogoi to Rajya Sabha as a nominated member.
Other nominated members in the Rajya Sabha are Swapan Dasgupta, Dr. Subramanian Swamy, Dr. Narendra Jadhav , Suresh Gopi, Mrs. Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom, Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati, Roopa Ganguly, Ram Shakal , Rakesh Sinha, Dr. Sonal Mansingh, Raghunath Mohapatra.
Justice Gogoi has been nominated to fill the vacancy caused due to the retirement of one of the nominated member, Senior Advocate K.T.S. Tulsi.
